Peer Review Process

Tabib: Asian Journal of Medical Practice and Health Sciences follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity and research quality. This means that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the evaluation process.

Review Process Steps:

  1. Initial Screening – Submitted manuscripts undergo a preliminary assessment by the editorial team to check for relevance, originality, adherence to journal guidelines, and plagiarism screening. Papers that do not meet the journal’s scope or ethical standards are returned to the authors.

  2. Assignment to Reviewers – Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. The selection is based on expertise, academic credentials, and prior reviewing experience.

  3. Double-Blind Review – The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on scientific rigor, clarity, originality, methodology, ethical compliance, and significance to the field. They provide detailed feedback, comments, and recommendations for revision, acceptance, or rejection.

  4. Author Revisions – If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response letter addressing the reviewers’ comments. The revised version may undergo further rounds of review if necessary.

  5. Editorial Decision – Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial board makes a final decision on acceptance, rejection, or further revision. The authors are informed of the decision, along with feedback from the review process.

  6. Final Proof and Publication – Accepted papers undergo final proofreading and formatting before being published online under the journal’s continuous publication model.

The journal upholds a strict ethical review policy, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to prevent plagiarism, data fabrication, and conflicts of interest.
