Tabib: Asian Journal of Medical Practice and Health Sciences publishes a variety of article types to ensure a comprehensive understanding of medical practices and health sciences. The journal follows a double-blind peer review process for most sections to uphold academic rigor, originality, and integrity.
1. Original Research Articles
- Full-length studies presenting new findings, experimental research, or clinical investigations.
- Must include a clear methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
- Subject to double-blind peer review.
- Word count: 4,000–7,000 words.
2. Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
- Critical and structured summaries of existing research on a specific medical or health science topic.
- Should follow PRISMA guidelines and include a clear research question, data sources, selection criteria, and analysis methods.
- Subject to double-blind peer review.
- Word count: 5,000–8,000 words.
3. Case Reports and Case Series
- Detailed descriptions of rare, novel, or instructive clinical cases that provide insights into medical practice.
- Should include patient history, diagnosis, treatment, outcomes, and discussion of medical implications.
- Subject to peer review.
- Word count: 1,500–3,000 words.
4. Review Articles
- Comprehensive overviews of current trends, medical advancements, or emerging health issues.
- Must provide a critical synthesis of existing literature rather than just a summary.
- Subject to double-blind peer review.
- Word count: 4,000–7,000 words.
5. Short Communications
- Concise reports on preliminary research findings, novel techniques, or small-scale studies.
- Designed for rapid dissemination of important medical insights.

6. Editorials
- Opinion pieces written by invited experts or editorial board members addressing current issues in medical practice and health sciences.
- Not subject to peer review (editorial review only).

7. Perspective and Commentary Articles
- Scholarly discussions on emerging trends, ethical issues, and medical policies.
- Encourages critical thinking and debate on significant healthcare topics.

8. Health Policy and Ethics Papers
